The Cost Accountant – Construction Project is responsible for planning, monitoring, analyzing, and controlling construction project costs to ensure accurate project costing, effective cost control, and timely financial reporting in support of project management and management decision-making.
Duties may include but not limited to:
Collect track and allocate construction costs including labor subcontractors equipment and overheads by project and cost codes
Prepare and maintain detailed project cost breakdowns BOQ cost codes cost centers
Calculate and monitor project costs committed costs and cost to complete on a periodic basis
Analyze cost variances against approved budgets contracts and forecasts identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions
Review and verify the accuracy completeness and validity of project cost transactions
Prepare periodic project cost reports weekly monthly including budget vs actual variance analysis and cash flow related to construction activities
Coordinate with Project Management Site Engineers Procurement and Warehouse teams to reconcile cost data materials consumption and work progress
Monitor subcontractor costs progress claims retention and contract variations
Support project budgeting cost forecasting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in inventory counts materials reconciliation at site and valuation of work in progress WIP in accordance with accounting standards
Support internal and external audits project cost reviews and tax finalization related to construction activities
Ensure compliance with Company Policies internal controls contract terms and relevant construction accounting and tax regulations

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related fields
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cost accounting project or hospitality experience preferred
Solid knowledge of costing methods and cost analysis
Proficient in Excel experience with ERP systems SAP is an advantage
Detail oriented analytical and able to work independently
Able to read and understand professional English reports
